World’s Bee Day Celebration

APIVITA, celebrates for the 5th consecutive year the World Bee Day which was established by the United Nations to raise awareness on the importance of protecting bees and other pollinators! This year’s theme is “Building Back Better for Bees”, focusing on the threats of protection posed by COVID-19 to bees and other pollinators.

For centuries bees, among the hardest working creatures on the planet, have benefited people, plants, and the environment. By carrying pollen from one flower to another, bees and other pollinators enable not only the production of an abundance of fruits, nuts, and seeds, but also more variety and better quality, contributing to food security and nutrition.

APIVITA is a natural care brand, born of bees in Greek nature and raised by science. In a few words our call to action is to Pollinate Beauty. Our greatest inspiration are the honeybees, as they are the sentinels of the environment. Furthermore, the name APIVITA comes from the Latin words APIS (Bee) and VITA (Life) meaning “life of the bee”. Our logo is inspired by the “Bees of Malia”, a unique golden piece of Minoan jewelry representing fertility and harmony.

During the whole month of May, APIVITA welcomes to our “Bee Hive” (head quarter and factory facilities) academic institutions from all over the world and introduce them to the world of the bees. Students from Kennesaw State and Rutgers University as well as Athens University of Economics & Business and Pharmaceutical School of Athens will have the opportunity to experience the way a beehive works and the importance of the pollinators to the ecosystem.

Since 1/1/2021, we have joined the 1% for the Planet global organization pledging to donate 1% from the Experience Store, e-shop, Bee Sun Safe sun care & Queen bee face care global sales to support environmental causes. Our partnership with 1% for the Planet is an exciting step in the brand's ongoing commitment to greater environmental responsibility through various initiatives in several countries all over the world! Towards this direction, today, May 20th, APIVITA employees and partners from all over the world are gathered in Versailles, France, to celebrate in a unique way this special day! At the same time APIVITA family in Greece celebrated the bee day with a special Bee Breakfast upon their arrival today in the office!
