APIVITA is the first Greek company that receives the B Corporation certification and becomes a member of an international network of companies and organizations that aspire to combine entrepreneurship with social welfare and use the power of markets to solve social and environmental problems.

The B Corp movement is a network of purpose driven companies using business as a force for good. B Corps meet the highest standards of verified social and environmental performance, public transparency, and legal accountability.

Currently the B Corp network gathers more than 2,500 companies from more than 130 industries and 50 countries, including companies such as Ben and Jerry's, Patagonia, Natura, Danone North America, Pukka, Dr. Bronner’s , etc.

In APIVITA we are proud to be a part of the B Corp network because we believe that society, people and culture are elements belonging to the same equation along with the environment, the planet and natural resources. Sustainable development is ensured when all of the above remain in complete balance. This holistic perspective was integrated into our business strategy when APIVITA was established, in 1979, and it continues to be part of our strategy to this day. To became certified we had to meet the requirements that measure the performance of the company in five sectors: environment, workers, governance, community and customers, which are also the pillars of our sustainability strategy.

This international certification strengthens our longstanding commitment to sustainable and socially responsible operation, along with the APIVITA Sustainability Report that will be issued in 2018 reporting our sustainability journey.

For APIVITA, becoming a of B Corp has a strategic importance and will significantly contribute to the development of the company, its sustainability strategy and the development of new synergies, but most of all it will serve as an inspiration for all that it is not enough for a company to be "The Best in the World" but "The Best for the World".
