In APIVITA, sustainability also refers to the adoption of a green code, which is constantly enriched with goals that are fully aligned with the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals. One main investment, which proudly serves this purpose, is our bioclimatic facilities in Markopoulo, Attica. Designed to harmonize the work with the natural environment, our factory and office building has natural resource management systems, such as photovoltaics, biological waste treatment, rainwater tank for irrigation and extensive plant coverage in the surrounding area.

APIVITA by being committed to reducing its energy and ecological footprint in the whole range of its business activity, carries out systematic measurements of critical key performance indicators. Both in 2018 and in 2019, we improved the electricity consumption indicator in our facilities as shown in the table below.

Total supply of energy, kWh / number of batches of product produced

We are also glad to announce that -once again- APIVITA received the Green Certificate by Protergia, electricity and gas sector of “Mytilineos”. This certificate confirms that for all the electricity consumed in our facilities, equal amount of energy was produced from Renewable Energy Sources.

APIVITA is fully committed to the values of transparency and sustainability, setting higher goals, to ensure a more sustainable future for the next generations.
