The company started out in 1979 with just four people. Now, it employs over 220. APIVITA started with a pioneering propolis soap at the pharmacy of the founders, Niki and Nikos Koutsianas, and now has more than 300 specialist innovative products.

Today, the distribution network covers more than 4000 pharmacies throughout Greece, and APIVITA has won the endorsement of Greek pharmacists as a company of innovative, safe and effective natural products, as well as a top choice among consumers, with market shares of around 40% in haircare. APIVITA recently opened its first flagship store in Kolonaki and a corner in NOTOS department store in downtown Athens- and there is more to come. The rapid yet sustainable growth of 25% in sales annually, has established APIVITA as the Greek market leader in natural products.
